Hey hey LowGear fans! Krusty here. Yesterday (Sunday 21 August, that is) was an important day for the LowGear team. Yes, we picked up our Homer-mobile! A 1995 Mercedes C180 Elegance, in dashing silver. For anyone that knows the team members, they'll know that this is quite fitting as elegance is our mantra. Well, everyone apart from Michael Clark!

An absolute bargain at a competition guidance beating 440 Queen's sterling pounds. It drives like a sophisticated banger with the odd strange noise and some questionable methods for locking the doors, but that just adds to the excitement of wondering whether we'll make it to Monaco or not ;) A mechanic will be giving it the once over to give us the best chance of success.

Next it will be onto the paint shop where it will be transformed into the Homer-mobile, together with sponsor and Simpsons stickers.

Also a quick note to say thanks for all of the extremely generous people who have made donations. We've collected over £3,200!
